CD RELEASE FINK & VOGEL at LAKESIDE STORIES

Busking again

Today I was playing in the street again.  It was a beautiful day. Where I played it's a tough neighborhood. Many problems. In front of me there was a car of the police and when I was talking to a cup I heard he was called to check on someone who was watching porn in his back yard.
I have a song called: Song for the prisoner. So I asked the audience: who has ever been in jail?
I can see it. I can see it in the children.
It was a beautiful day. There were not many people, but the atmosphere was very relaxed. I hope to play there again. I know these people.

Café Lokaal in Heemskerk

Me being happy (foto Jos van Heerden)
Last week I went with Mario to Heemskerk. We had never been there before, and it’s  always exciting to go somewhere for the first time.
I had worked all day and after school I cycled to Central Station in Amsterdam to store my bike there. It was very hot that day, and remembered that very cold afternoon in February  when I went to exactly the same place to store my bike. It was not easy, that afternoon, but it was so far one of my best performances that night. This time it was extremely hot, I was hungry, tired, so it was again suffering and I hoped that was a good sign for the rest of the day.
And  sure it was!
We were warmly welcomed by Paul. He showed us the building and he offered some coffee. Café Lokaal  is an old school building that has been transformed into radio / television studio and a very nice cozy cafe.
We were introduced to the soundengineers and the camera men and Joost, the interviewer,  prepared us for what wass going to happen ..
First we were filmed outside and briefly interviewed, then we played our set. The audience was very friendly  and we were very happy with the sound,  and we played well.
This place I can recommend every songwriter, there was a very nice atmosphere!
Paul offered us to bring us back , so Mario and I could have another drink and enjoy the great band that was playing after us.
A man in the audience said to us: "You should write a song about it. You come as an artist somewhere you've never been, you play your songs  and then you will be brought back to the station. Is not that a beautiful life? "

Dodenherdenking 2015 and short trip to Berlin

In the Netherlands, on May 4 there is a national commemoration of the victims of World War II. For this commemoration I translated the song Donna Donna into Dutch and sang it on the  memorial. This was a special experience. Four students from St. Lidwina School sang along with me, and Eline Schrama played on violin.
At May 5 in Holland we celebrate the liberation of the German, but this year I went that day to Berlin. The last time I visited Berlin was thirty years ago, and at that time the wall was still there. When I was there I felt very depressed, but this year Berlin seemed to be a great and interesting city.
I was looking for the wall and found some of it, and i was so happy this time, Berlin became a great city!

So a few days ago I listened to some musicians and one of them talked to the audience about the Holocaust. I also listened to an old Jewish woman who sang a great song.

Unfortunality I didn't record her, jus 10 seconds you can see this jewish woman

Hi everybody!
At Radio Universe
I just discovered bandcamp and have been trying out what the possibities are.
Well, if you like you can download my music! A few of my songs are live  recorded by Universe Radio and I think they did a good job :) I also put the lyrics with them. You can download the wav file for only one euro or if you like a little bit more.
Hope you enjoy!
Annette on Bandcamp

More news: I celebrated my birthday and there were some really nice performances by friends, like Frankie & friends, Bart van der Harst, Ellen & family, and I played some of my songs with Mario on bass. We had a good time together!
